How many sessions does pigmentation laser treatment take?
It depends on the type and depth of pigmentation. Superficial spots(freckles, solar lentigines) often show visible improvement in 1–3 sessions. Melasma is more complex and may require 4–8+ sessions with careful energy management to prevent rebound. Your dermatologist will diagnose the pigmentation type and set a realistic treatment plan at consultation.
Is tattoo removal painful in Busan?
The Boom Clinic uses picosecond-level laser for tattoo removal — delivering ultra-short pulses that shatter ink particles more efficiently than traditional Q-switched lasers, with less heat damage to surrounding skin. Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. The procedure causes a brief snapping sensation. Multiple sessions are required for complete removal, with intervals of 4–8 weeks between sessions.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser hair removal permanently destroys the growth capacity of targeted follicles by heating the melanin at the hair root. Multiple sessions are required because follicles are only vulnerable during the active growth phase (anagen) — not all follicles are in this phase simultaneously. After completing a full course of sessions, the vast majority of treated hair does not regrow. Some regrowth may occur with significant hormonal changes.
Can I have acne treatment during active breakout?
Yes — in fact, treating active acne is more effective than waiting. The Boom Clinic's acne programme addresses active inflammation, sebum overproduction, and bacteria simultaneously. Inflamed cysts can be treated with targeted anti-inflammatory injection plus PDT (photodynamic therapy). Your dermatologist will assess the severity and recommend the appropriate immediate treatment approach.
What is the downtime for pore and scar treatment?
Downtime varies by device and treatment intensity. Lighter fractional treatments (MOXI, Helios 4 toning) have minimal downtime — mild redness resolving in 24–48 hours. Deeper ablative CO2 fractional treatments may require 3–7 days of peeling and redness. Your dermatologist will recommend the appropriate treatment depth based on your scar severity and your available downtime.
